Morning all! It's nearly 7 a.m. here and I haven't gone to bed yet. I'm such a night owl and have gotten way worse lately. Anyway I was cleaning up my desktop and found a freebie from Easter that I forgot about.. oops! I hope you can still use the wordart :) Here's a preview:

Hi!! Hope everyone is having a good day! I'm up super early on a Saturday! It's almost 5 a.m... I slept for a little while last night but not much. So I made you a freebie to go with my new collab! No, I won't be designing kits all the time now but I did get together with Kristi and make a great spring kit, Rekindled. Other than getting those new items together I've had a lot going on in my life... Of course I mentioned my friend passing away last weekend. I drove to Mississippi on Tuesday for the visitation and then the funeral was Wednesday morning. It was a beautiful service. I know Matthew would have loved it and was loving it, watching over us from above. He was such an amazing person and had so many friends. It was packed at both services so even though it was for terrible reasons we got to catch up with a lot of old friends and people from high school and such. After the visitation we went out to eat at Matt's favorite Mexican place that's in the same strip as his photography studio he owned. I ordered a hamburger LOL Yes, a hamburger at a Mexican place! Matt always got them and we thought he was crazy. I had to try one and it was actually really good, I was quite surprised. The actual service was at 11 a.m. and it was the first day we had nice weather here. Matt had a HUGE, gorgeous flower arrangement and I know he would have been proud. He loved flowers and of course HUGE flower arrangements made him happy lol. The lady that helped him out with his weddings said a few words and it was really nice... nice to know the things he said and the things he was planning on right before he passed. I haven't seen him in a few months since I'm in TX. :( I'm of course sad he's gone but glad he's in a better place and look forward to seeing him again one day. I have a lot of great memories to get me by until then. :) So anyway, I missed work for that so I'm going into work today to make up for my missed hours. I'm behind anyway since I missed 2 days so it won't be bad.. I'll have plenty to keep me busy. Hopefully no one will be up there so I can work in peace! Justin has to work too at 10 so I'll probably wait until he's going to work before I go to my work so I can spend some time with him this morning. I don't know if I'll have to work tomorrow but hopefully not! I want to play in photoshop some more LOL not work! I have lots of new kits to play with and really just want to scrap and relax.. we shall see though :)

Horrible day but still got a freebie!

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a better day than I! Well technically the day ended b/c it's 5 in the morning but I never went to sleep so whatever. I was having a wonderful lazy Saturday... I was in bed on the computer and watching tv and my husband came in the room and asked where my phone was. I told him I wasn't sure and he said I needed to get it because there was bad news (he was talking to someone on his phone). My first thought was my grandfather which made my heart sink. He's 83 so I know the day is coming but I still don't want it to, ya know. Then I could tell Justin wasn't talking to my family so I asked what it was. He said they found my friend (from MS), Richard, dead a couple hours before. It didn't hit me at first I just hopped up and started looking for my phone. He kept asking if I was ok and I just kept repeating "What do you mean?" I finally found my phone and saw I had a billion missed calls. Justin was talking to my best friend Jessica's fiance on the phone and told him thanks for calling while I called her on my phone. She said they weren't sure what happened yet.. it looked like an accidental overdose. There was nothing around him that he could have taken so they just aren't sure. I asked her if she was ok and she asked me if I was ok, other than that I don't remember the conversation but then we said I love you and got off the phone. Then it hit me and I started crying like a baby and got in my husband's arms. I cried for a while and then started calling everyone I had missed calls from. My friend Ashley came over to help me feel better and since then I've just been in bed and don't know what to do. I'm waiting to find out the details so I can tell my work I'll be missing to go to the services. I wish I could go tomorrow (technically today) but if I have to miss work later this week then I'll have to catch up on stuff tomorrow so no one gets mad at me at work. It feels like a dream that I can't wake up from. I've had friends pass away when I was in high school but they weren't best friends and I was so much younger..... my grandma passed away and my great grandma but those were expected and we were prepared for them, or as prepared as you can be anyway... this is just unexpected and heart breaking. We've been friends since elementary school and have stayed friends this entire time. He's been such a big part of my life even since I've moved to TX every time I go back I get together with my best friends from high school and he was one of them. He's an amazing photographer and has taken all of the pictures I have of Justin and myself. He was such a great person... very caring and tried to help everyone, had a great sense of humor. We lost someone wonderful here on earth but God gained an amazing Angel for sure. Anyway.... Sorry, just needed to "talk" about it a little I guess. I've got a freebie for you and I'll leave you be :) It's just some word art I was playing around with, 2 separate ones. Here's the preview:

Template Freebie!

Hiya! I'm back again but only for a minute! I'm about to get in bed with my hubby and watch American Idol from earlier tonight :) I just wanted to show off the layout I made with Monica's gorgeous kit.. you know the one all over my blog lol. I just love the colors so I had to make a page with it.

That's me and my hubby! We can be sweet sometimes ;) Anyway so I made a template out of it and decided to share it with you. I also included the word art in the template for you to use if you want. Here's the template:

Welcome to my new blog!

Hiya! I'm back and with a new blog, Yay! I lost internet a couple of months ago and ended up switching companies which was a PAIN! I've got Charter now and it's so super fast and way better than what I had before so it all worked out. I've been back for a bit now but just been working a lot, online and in the "real" world. I decided it was time for a new blog, lucky you! ;) I used Studio mgl's stunning new kit, Spring's Promise, to decorate it and I just LOVE it!
